Better health; one step at a time!

The long term vision of the Mayor's Council on Trails is to provide and promote healthy lifestyl alternatives for the residents of Harrison, Arkansas.

A longterm project tht will benefit generations.

The steps taken so far and the ones that are planned will be a valuable resource for our current residents as well as their children, grandchildren and many more future generations.

Kids Get it!
To exercise and play is something lacking in our children's lives. With less time for play in schools, making ammenities available outside of the school campus and instead in our neighborhoods will help fill those voids.

We need the communities support!

The overall goal of the Mayor’s Council on Trails is to improve the health and vitality of the City of Harrison and its residents and visitors through the development of a connected trails system; a system of trails and sidewalks that allows people to enjoy safe social interaction, improved health and quality of life.  It is the vision of the Mayor’s Council on Trails that families can enjoy time outdoors and kids can get back outside in safe play spaces that they can access by bicycle or walking without risk of injury by car.  The Mayor’s Council on Trails believes that the environment in which we live, work and play should promote health and well being for the individual as well as the community as a whole.  We've established this site to help you learn more about is being done to attain this goal and make the vision a reality.
